Duncan Hines Simple Mornings Muffin Reivew

I’m all about homemade goodies, but sometimes, I just need to use the boxed stuff! I recently purchased Duncan Hines Simple Mornings Blueberry Streusel muffins as a rainy day activity for my 3 year old, Max. He loves to cook, but on a whim, it’s hard to find all the ingredients to our favorite recipes unless I’ve planned it into my grocery shopping for the week. So, a Duncan Hines muffin mix is nice to have for something quick to whip up, and I’m sure to have what I need to make them.

To make these, all you need to add are two eggs, oil and water. It’s an easy activity for Max to help out with. The muffins only take about 16 minutes to bake and they come out super moist. Not only did Max and I love them, but I brought them to my work mom playdate and everyone raved about them. Even the moms who had to give up dairy and soy could eat them!

I highly recommend checking these out and keeping a box in your pantry for a rainy day activity, or to bring as a dish to pass for a play date or brunch.

What’s your favorite rainy day recipe? I’d love for you to share the details or a link in the comments below!

  1. I buy this mix often. I've made muffins, bread in a loaf pan. I sometimes make it with flax seed egg substitute so our daughter that is vegan can enjoy it too. It's always very good.

  2. Great seeing your little one helping out in the kitchen! Our favorite rainy day recipe is oatmeal raisin cookies. We tend to just buy a mix and add in raisins. Those muffins look like a nice mix for making up a quick breakfast or snack to eat.
